About the Euro Gay Cup
The annual Euro Gay Cup was started in 2001 and has previously been held in Vinkeveen, (Netherlands), Paris, Berlin and Cowes, UK. Competitors have entered from the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany the USA and Australia. Sailing is a growing sport in the gay community and was included in the Gay Games in Sydney 2002 and Chicago 2006. The EuroGay Cup is one of a trio of annual gay sailing regattas held in Europe, the USA and Australia endorsed by the international gay sailing organisation, GLORY.
This year the event will be held in Brighton from 9-10 June, and organised by SailNetUK - but places are limited so if you want to compete, register now - click here for details.
GUST activities for 2007 include participation in International Gay Regattas in the USA and Europe as well as competing in numerous sailing events in the UK - including the major events such as Cowes Week.
In addition we have some members who participate in the major Solent championships.
